The Brown County Beekeepers Association will meet March 14 at Western Brown High School’s Community Room located on the western side of the school across from the tennis courts.
At 6:00 p.m. members will be available to answer questions and share information on beekeeping, The educational program will begin at 7:00 p.m. followed by our business meeting.
The educational program will be, ” Swarm Prevention- Including Bee Hive Splits”, presented by Chris Dresel, former President of our association. Every spring in Southern Ohio, strong bee hives
propagate themselves by swarming during the months of April and May. To avoid this from occurring with your hive, Chris will share with us various techniques that have proven to be successful in reducing swarming behavior.
